GeoDecisions’ Greg Ulp Named Director of Delivery for Government Solutions
/Greg Ulp, MCP, has been promoted to Director of Delivery for Government Solutions for GeoDecisions, an information technology (IT) company specializing in geospatial solutions. Based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Ulp has nearly 30 years of experience in application and software analysis, design, development, implementation, maintenance, support, and training.
In addition to state and local government business development, Ulp leads efforts to improve project delivery efficiency. He also plays a major role in managing Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) enterprise GIS initiatives. PennDOT projects are geared to empower PennDOT users to utilize geospatial technologies by developing better business models for analytics, reporting, reliability, and technology workflow management.
Ulp managed the development of PennDOT’s new traffic data system (TDS), which processes more than 275 million new traffic records per month. He also directs GeoDecisions’ GIS-IQ application enhancements that enable non-GIS PennDOT users to easily create, communicate, and integrate maps from a web browser.

Well-versed in programming languages and technologies, Ulp holds a bachelor of science from the Pennsylvania State University. A Pennsylvania native, he lives in the Harrisburg area with his wife, Staci. An avid golfer away from the office, Ulp enjoys competing at all levels.
