(April 13, 2015/Madison, Wisc.) Roger Boissonnas has been promoted to director of commercial solutions for GeoDecisions, an information technology (IT) company specializing in geospatial solutions. Based in Madison, Wisconsin, Boissonnas has more than 25 years of experience in software development that includes planning, developing, and delivering location-based geographic information system (GIS) technologies.

For major insurance companies, Boissonnas is leading GIS solution designs to implement aggregate risk management systems and provide a clear view of portfolio distribution. In addition, he is helping to apply GeoDecisions’ Rapid Response™ GIS-based notification system to the insurance space.

Boissonnas also directs development of GeoDecisions’ GeoILS® fleet management application and Locate/IM, an automatic vehicle location and incident management system. His project teams use Atlassian products for issue tracking, source code storage, and code review.

Well-versed in programming languages and technologies, Boissonnas holds a bachelor of psychology from New York’s Cornell University. A recreational hockey player, he resides in Madison, Wisconsin, with his four children ages 9, 12, 17, and 19.
