GeoDecisions Joins the Esri-Autodesk Joint Customer Council
/GeoDecisions is proud to announce our participation in the Esri®-Autodesk Joint Customer Council (JCC). As the prominent architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry software companies, Esri and Autodesk formed the Esri-Autodesk strategic alliance in 2017. Both global leaders, Esri specializes in geographic information systems (GIS) and Autodesk specializes in computer-aided drafting and building information modeling (BIM). Together, they are uniting to transform the built environment.
Technology constantly changes and evolves to support and create solutions to infrastructure challenges. This is evident through the BIM and GIS integration into GeoBIM. The Esri and Autodesk partnership accomplishes the following objectives:
Transform infrastructure project workflows.
Bridge GIS and BIM, bringing data to the center of projects and create real-time data flows.
Enable AEC teams to better support, design, build, and manage infrastructure projects.
Develop a more resilient and sustainable future.
Holistically manage infrastructure assets, GIS data, and BIM models.
Esri’s success with the Esri Partner Advisory Council prompted them to form the Esri-Autodesk JCC. The JCC:
Provides an opportunity for partners to give advice and insight.
Allows people using the technology to provide feedback regarding design and construction real-world scenarios.
Brings users and alliance leadership together to collaborate and innovate AEC solutions.
Active participants in both GIS and BIM environments, GeoDecisions and Gannett Fleming recognized the opportunities and possibilities of this successful strategic alliance focused on GIS and BIM integration. GeoDecisions is a long-standing Esri ally and became a platinum partner in 2019. Similarly, Gannett Fleming—GeoDecisions’ parent company and a multidisciplinary infrastructure firm—is an active Autodesk user and has been a named account partner for more than 20 years.
Uniting in commitment to deliver innovative solutions, GeoDecisions and Gannett Fleming are active participants of the JCC since 2018. This collaborative equity strategic alliance participation increases our ability to influence the long-term vision of AEC technology. More importantly, it also allows us to better serve our clients.
